A Londoner, Yinka has an amazing accent. Coming out of university, ready for a financial services career, she hit disappointment head-on when her hiring manager told her “to say goodbye to her family” She would not see them for a long time if she was going to be successful in the corporate world. So she pulled up her big girl pants . . . and left. Now Yinka navigates being a successful entrepreneur with three little boys at home, a husband out in the workforce, and helping her mom run a catering business. We get into the “runway” discussion of how men don’t have as many home expectations to detract from their career building, as well as what it means for women to take back their story. Check out her LinkedIn posting, she’s got it going on over there~ Yinka’s perspective is inspiring, and dare I say empowering, without disregarding the choices we as women want to make. You might not can “have it all”, but you do get to decide where you will put your efforts.
